With all the events that have occurred on campus there’s seems to be a big push for administration to create change for us. I am a firm believer in the power of community and the power of the individual persons. While policies can be great, the biggest enforcers of policy is the citizens and the members of that community. 

With this being said my hope is that we all take individual responsibility to end and take action against acts of violence that occur on our campus. This is a petition to hold yourself responsible for anytime you don’t stand up against racial discrimination, racial incident and any and all violence that occurs on our campus. This is about allyship, in the most active of ways. Be an ally to yourself and to others. 

If we take the initiative to create a web of support and a way to fully enforce our expectations of our another, we build a campus that is conducive of learning and growth. This about the notion that all of our self preservation is linked that of others. We are interconnected. We will be the change we want to see. Sign the petition and be the change you want to see. We will create more space to mobilize our agency in disrupting a system of oppression.
