Please help stop a 4.4-hectare development on the banks of the Swan River at Alfred Cove, proposed by a group of venture capitalists to build an artificial surfing complex.

The area is adjacent to an A-class nature reserve, an internationally recognised sanctuary for wildlife habitat; a natural sanctuary for native fauna and migratory birdlife and one of only a few remaining areas of relatively undisturbed vegetation along Perth’s river.

Noise levels at the proposed wave park, on the most ecologically sensitive side of Alfred Cove Nature Reserve, are estimated to be above 50 decibels with some areas likely to experience 60 decibels, well over the 42 specified under WA law. 

Birds can’t wear ear muffs!  Please help us halt this illogical commercial development on the banks of the Swan River.
