As Mesquite, NV residents of the Mesa Hills gated retirement community and nearby communities including The Reserve, Highland Hills, and beyond, we are facing a direct threat to our peaceful living due to the proposed Zone Change Master Plan Amendment Case No. ZCM-25-001 (401 Falcon Ridge Pkwy Development). This amendment would be detrimental to our community and our way of life. The proposed change would convert the land, currently designated as "Land Reserve," into a "Multi-Family High Density Residential" (MF4) zone.

This high-density housing project infringes on the tranquility of Mesa Hills, which is directly across the street from the proposed development, and those communities nearby, by triggering potential issues of overcrowding, traffic congestion, inadequacy of public services, and the detrimental alteration of our neighborhood's character. 

Furthermore, this proposed change flouts the land-use ethos that promotes conservation and responsible development. Converting "Land Reserves" into high-density residential areas disregards the importance of green zones and could set a dangerous precedent for similar developments in the future.

We are not against housing development, but we believe it should be done responsibly, protecting the character and peacefulness of existing communities and reflecting the original intent and preservation ideals of the existing land-use designations.

We implore every resident of Mesa Hills and all other stakeholders to stand with us against this amendment.
