Without notice LARMAC has in a closed session Nov of 2024 voted to close Heritage Garden and replace it with a community farm.  The new amenity not only jeopardizes our cherished garden, but it also risks increasing our Homeowners Association (HOA) fees, putting potiential unnecessary financial strain on community members. 

With the proposed transformation into a functioning farm, many of us question the community’s interests in paying for this new amenity.  The current recommended funding requirement for 2024/2025 Heritage Garden is $5751. The community farm feasibility agreement alone has already cost Ladera Residents $7000.  This new community farm is going to be expensive.  LARMAC as of 03/12/25 could not provide information on the operating cost nor the budget for the newly planned community farm. We know it will cost more than the current operating cost of Heritage garden. 

Let's unite in this cause and strongly oppose this plan, keep our garden intact, and avoid a potential increase in our HOA fees for amenities that may not be in the best interest to the community.
