⚠️this is not an April fools joke for those  concerned⚠️  Many students, myself among them, find it difficult to focus for extended periods of time. For those of us who already struggle with learning disabilities or ADHD, the challenge is even greater. The prospect of adjusting to longer periods only compounds our difficulties. Additionally, the switching between block periods each day hampers our ability to build consistency in our educational journey. Furthermore, research asserts that early and longer school times are more likely to hinder rather than enhance student performance (American Academy of Pediatrics, 2014). Therefore, we call on the administration of Eastchester High School to reconsider the proposed schedule change and to respect the needs and capabilities of its student body.
