Halt the Imminent Closure of Christ Church Primary School in Battersea

Halt the Imminent Closure of Christ Church Primary School in Battersea
The Issue
Are we , the older generation, destroying the future of our young by closing Schools?
Closing Christ Church Primary School to erase the history is wrong
Learn from history, don't erase it
The past was erased, the erasure was forgotten, the lie became the truth.” While this is actually a line from George Orwell’s story of a totalitarian society in Nineteen Eighty-Four, it is quite literally not far off from what we, in a rapid manner, are looking to do here in Battersea-London-United Kingdom — erase the past.
Christ Church Primary School, a pivotal institution in Battersea, London, is facing an imminent closure. This school has been serving the community for generations and its closure would impact hundreds of students and their families.
With the falling pupil numbers impacting on Reception intake, at Christ church primary schools , The school governors decided to close down the School !
According to recent statistics from the Department for Education, closing a school can have significant negative effects on students' academic performance and emotional well-being (Department for Education UK).
Our objection to the school closure is outlined below where we have addressed the reasons you (( school Governors & Diocese))have given for the proposed closure and highlighted evidence against the decision they have reached.

Moreover, Christ Church Primary School is known for its high educational standards and strong community ties which will be lost if it closes down.
Wandsworth Council investing up to £20m in expanding school provision for children with special education needs and disabilities
Cabinet Member for Schools Kate Stock has highlighted the growing pressure to provide additional places for some of the borough’s most vulnerable young people.
She said: “There is an absolute and pressing need to provide more SEND places in Wandsworth. The numbers of children with additional needs is growing very rapidly and it is our duty and indeed our ambition to make sure we are able to provide the best standard of care and education for these children, while most importantly, providing these additional school places close to the family and community support networks that are so crucial for these young people’s care and welfare.
Most children in hospital attend school when they are in short or long term admission but require school placements when they get discharged from Hospital.
Students in hospital schools already have EHCP: Education Health Care Plan , Which often includes local authority funding for transportation , so students outside the Borough of Wandsworth can access Education within Wandsworth (Paid for by other local Authorities)
Students in Hospital often do not return to their original school due to length of absence and a wish to start fresh in a more appropriate Educational environment that supports their Health/Learning needs. Below are some of the Hospital Schools I have identified but there are many more.
Please also note that for Schools to accept SEND students, It will need less students, much more than the normal student amount paid for a school place .

We urge Decision-maker to Create a survey to send to all local school leaders & SENDCO to request their opinion for the need for local SEND provision to be created.
Article 29 of the UNCRC says children and young people have the right to be educated in a place other than state school, such as a private school ( Free School)or by their family. The government shouldn’t make it so the only places they can study are provided by the State.
By standing up for your children, even if it means standing against the whole world, you show them that it is OK to question authority. It is OK to question rules. It is OK to choose a different path that is better suited to them. It is OK to rise up even if you seem alone in doing so - there will always be people who have your back.
"Article 28 of the UNCRC says :Children and young people have the right to both primary and secondary education and should be able to choose different subjects when in secondary school. This should include the option of technical and vocational training, so they shouldn't have to focus on academic subjects if they don't want to.
