Halt the Expansion of Joseph Machine at 595 Range End Road
The Issue
As a resident deeply affected by the unchecked growth of Joseph Machine, I am writing to express my concern and opposition to its further expansion. The facility, located at 595 Range End Road in Dillsburg, PA, has already exceeded the township ordinance's definition for multi-use light manufacturing facilities. This ordinance restricts such facilities to under 65,000 square feet including all impervious surfaces.
However, Joseph Machine currently spans an alarming 94,200 square feet with an additional estimated impervious area of around 30,000 square feet. This means that it is nearly double the size permitted by our local regulations. This uncontrolled expansion not only violates our zoning laws but also adversely affects adjoining properties and those homes and businesses situated on or near Range End Road.
The importance of adhering to these zoning regulations cannot be overstated. They were carefully planned and put in place to protect us - the residents - from exactly this kind of situation where a single entity's growth could negatively impact our community's wellbeing.
I urge you all to stand with me in demanding that Dillsburg Township takes immediate action against this violation. We must insist on strict adherence to our zoning laws and halt any further expansion plans by Joseph Machine since they are not compliant with these rules.
