Halt the Deportation of Political Activist, Mrs Nahyd Hosseini

Halt the Deportation of Political Activist, Mrs Nahyd Hosseini
Das Problem
This petition is a plea for humanity and justice. It concerns the life of Nahyd Mehran Husamaldin (Hosseini), a writer and former member of the central committee of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI)، who is currently facing deportation from Sweden back to Iran - a fate that could potentially put his life at risk.
Born on July 1, 1967 in Saqqez, Iranian Kurdistan, Hosseini was forced to flee her homeland on March 16th, 2005 due to intense pressure from the Iranian regime. This same regime imprisoned and tortured her December 2003.
From 2008-2018 Hosseini served as a member of PDKI where she worked tirelessly for equal rights and taught feminism. She was also headwriter for Kurdistan newspaper and chief of publications. Her political activities put her in a complicated situation and she was forced to flee Iraq with a fake passport that is not even recognised by Iraqian government but the Swedish immigration agency is refusing to realise that.
In search of safety and freedom from terror and suppression, Hosseini sought asylum in Sweden on March 14th, 2019. After her arrival in Sweden, once again Mrs Hosseini reconnected to PDKI and has been an active member of the party. However now faces an imminent threat as Swedish immigration agency plans to deport her back to Iraq - a move that could lead directly to her deportation back to Iran.
A return to Iran would mean certain imprisonment for Hosseini - likely torture - and possibly even death penalty due to her political activism against the oppressive regime.
We must not stand by while this injustice unfolds before us. We call upon you all who believe in human rights and freedom from oppression; we urge you not just as citizens but as fellow humans – let us rally together against this decision by Swedish Immigration Agency.
