As residents of Stokes, North Carolina, we are deeply troubled by the proposed construction of a wireless tower on the corner of Keaton and Lynchburg Road. This project is personal to us because it threatens our way of life, our property values, and the natural beauty that drew us to this area in the first place. The proposed tower would conflict with existing zoning regulations and require converting farmland and forestland into non-agricultural use.

This isn't just about aesthetics - it's about preserving our community's character. The tower would drastically alter not only our neighborhood but also disrupt the Hanging Rock State Park View Shed Protection Area's integrity.

Furthermore, there are significant health and safety concerns associated with wireless towers that cannot be ignored. According to studies conducted by Environmental Health Trust (EHT), long-term exposure to radiation from cell towers can lead to serious health issues.

We believe in progress but not at the expense of our community’s wellbeing or natural beauty. We urge local authorities to reconsider this decision for all these reasons mentioned above.
