🚨 Today’s the Day — Zoning Meeting Alert! 🚨

The Greene County Board of Commissioners is meeting TODAY at 5 PM to vote on the second rezoning of agricultural land along Leslie Mill Road and the Veazey Connector to PUD. If approved, it would allow the developer behind “Lake Oconee Estates & Beach Club” to double the size of a subdivision that does not belong in this rural area.

This type of development will decrease nearby property values, damage local ecosystems and wetlands, strain our rural roadways, and permanently change the quiet, open character that makes our community unique.

If the Board approves this, it will set a dangerous precedent, paving the way for other developers to push through similar projects across Greene County.
