As concerned citizens incredibly distressed by the potential misuse of taxpayer money, we draw attention to President Donald Trump's plans for a military parade projected to cost $100 Million. This staggering figure totals more significant part of the budget that should be utilized to improve American lives, not inflate an already exaggerated ego. This ardent waste of resources is particularly cutting when considering the numerous homeless military veterans desperate for support and resources.

Government resources could be dedicated to supporting our veterans or other pressing needs instead of going towards lavish exhibitions. We bring notice to the fact that the defense watchdog DOGE has been striving tirelessly to eliminate supposed fraud, waste, and abuse. But, this planned parade appears to fly in the face of their mission. 

Furthermore, the nations that frequently organize such grand military spectacles like China, Russia, and North Korea do not embody the democratic principles we aim to uphold. An opulent show of military might is not representative of our values, the use of our budget, or our country's persona.
