Halt Habitat Destruction and Animal Poaching Globally

Halt Habitat Destruction and Animal Poaching Globally
The Issue
Do you want your kids and grandkids to ask you what a tiger was? What about a rhino, or koala. "Mom, what's an elephant?" Nobody wants their kids to grow up, never being able to experience seeing these beautiful animals. There's dozens of iconic animals that are becoming endangered and extinct globally, for land that we don't need.
The increasing rates of habitat destruction and ruthless poaching have shaken me to my core. It aggravates me to think about innocent creatures being killed mindlessly, the sweet beings that they are just trying to survive in a world that shows them no mercy. I know there's others that are praying for change as well.
Without these animals, the food chain will shatter. The animals that eat bugs are being killed, so bugs will not have any predators left to regulate their population. Do you want 5 times the amount of bugs we already have? I don't.
According to the World Wildlife Fund, as much as 80% of the world's forest habitats have already been destroyed or irreparably degraded. When we destroy their homes, we are endangering countless species - we are signaling their doom. Concurrently, poaching activities stand to wipe out the African elephant population in a mere decade if not combated. These statistics are a testament to the grave urgency of this situation - the animals don't have the luxury of time on their side.
There is a real need for more stringent enforcement of laws protecting endangered species and their habitats. For increased sentences for poaching offenses. For broader, more effective efforts to educate people about the importance of conservation. For us to rise as a global community and say no more.
We call for global governance bodies, wildlife organizations, and national leaders to prioritize animal welfare and habitat safety. Join us in voicing your concern, your opposition to the rampant destruction of habitats, and brutal slaughtering of wildlife. We owe it to these innocent creatures to try. Sign this petition today and help save these lives tomorrow.
