The Issue
I am an employee at the Elizabethtown Giant, and I'm writing this petition out of deep concern for both the quality of service we provide and the wellbeing of my fellow employees. We are overworked, underpaid, with no raises and hardly any breaks. The volume of orders keeps increasing while our staff numbers dwindle.
Giant Direct is a service that was meant to enhance customer experience but it's doing quite the opposite here in Elizabethtown. Our customers frequently complain about poor quality due to rushed work as we scramble to meet demand with insufficient resources.
Moreover, our working conditions are deteriorating rapidly. According to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), retail workers already face high stress levels compared to other industries. Yet, our situation at Elizabethtown Giant is even worse due to constant pressure and lack of support.
