Fast fashion has become a significant contributor to environmental degradation. According to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), it is responsible for 10% of all annual global carbon emissions, which is more than all international flights and maritime shipping combined. This industry also consumes more energy than both the aviation and shipping industries (source: UNEP).

Moreover, it's not just about our environment; it's about people too. Fast fashion exploits workers in developing countries where labor laws are often lax or non-existent. The International Labour Organization reports that many garment workers earn less than half of what they need for a decent living standard.

We cannot stand idle while our planet suffers and people are exploited for cheap clothing that lasts only a few wears before being discarded. We must demand stricter regulations on fast fashion companies regarding their environmental footprint and labor practices.
