Islam is the second largest religion in Canada. At least 4% of Canadian citizens follow Islam. Eating halal food is considered as a fundamental right of every  Muslim across the globe.

Canada being a secular country providing equal opportunity to every religions belief has it national airline Air Canada not providing an option for its travelers to choose Halal food. 

while travelers have a choice to choose vegetarian food it is unfair that Air Canada displays ignorance and bias towards the Muslims who predominately travel long distance.

It is to be noticed that flights from Middle East and other Islamic countries are respectful for other believers with regard to food and always include an option for every traveler globally , it is unfair treatment that air Canada does not provide this even to flights that are on code share with airlines such as Qatar airways or emirates ( in which travelers expect halal food by default).

this petition is to request air Canada to change its policy and treat every Muslim with equality and respectful of the halal food requirement.
