As many residents who live in the area and many commuters who work or have to travel through the area are aware there has been a high increase in the amount of roads closed either making them into cycle only routes or no through roads. For those who are trying to get to work or take their children to school, this is making things harder and taking more time to get to destinations. Sadiq Khan had pledged to make things safer for cyclists encouraging people to cycle and walk more. This may benefit some people but not perhaps the majority. There are many in the area who are unable to cycle or walk to work, many who feel uncomfortable using public transport during a pandemic. Emergency services who may take longer getting to a crime or an accident or reaching ill patients because there are now more road Closures meaning that they too will take longer getting to the places that they desperately need to go.

We need to show the councils and Sadiq Khan that these road Closures are not a benefit for everyone but rather they are a hinderence to residents, workers and our amazing emergency services.
