Why this petition matters

Started by Alvaro Banegas

Behind our backs and with no regard for the residents of Hacienda Heights, Supervisor Janice Hahn negotiated with the Motel 6 on 7th Ave and 60 Fwy to commission the entire Motel 6 to start bringing homeless individuals to be quarantined for 90 days as of now. The homeless will be brought in from other areas and cities other than Hacienda Heights. These individuals WILL NOT be drug tested or have a CRIMINAL background check done! We need to take a stand and fight for our community, we are residents and we have a voice and rights  that need to be heard by Janice Hahn. Hacienda Heights is full of families and schools. The Motel 6 location has no resources nearby to accommodate and sustain a homeless community. The Room Key program is to shelter a homeless individual from getting  the Covid19 virus On the streets. But at this location they will be able to leave from 7 AM to 7 PM Which defeats the purpose of keeping them sheltered and possibly getting the COVID19 virus! This community will never be the same! thanks  to Janice Hahn. It is very frustrating and upsetting that we were not notified. We must let Janice Hahn know how we feel about her zero consideration for this great community. Please sign this petition and call Janice Hahn at 213-974-4444 to express your anger and disappointment with her as we will move forward to voice our disappointment of having a Supervisor like Janice Hahn represent our community. Janice Hahn lives nowhere close to us and she will never be impacted by her reckless decision. Thank you!
