Please support this petition to bring back a part of our childhoods that is MIA. 

The Heinz Steamed chocolate pudding (and other steamed puddings in the range) were a hug on cold days, comfort through hard times, memories of family around the table, they were the glue of camaraderie between poor friends hard up and they were always there for you. Not least because they had a long shelf life in that tin.

I feel in these times of isolation, fear and uncertain in the world - more than ever we need to be reminded of these memories.

We need the mindfulness that come with waiting for the long steam to finish or the unexpected delight that the Microwave does a decent runner up job when you just cannot wait. 

If these sentiments are not enough to sway you, then I say I think of the environment, or the plastic pots and single use plastic and the fact that the serving is only for a lonely 1. 

I ask Heinz to bring people back together and reinstate the family steamed pudding. There’s a new sauce every week, a passing fancy but please give us back the heart of our homes.
