DO NOT APPROVE Rezoning Land on Washington & Cemetery Massive Public Self-Storage Facility

DO NOT APPROVE Rezoning Land on Washington & Cemetery Massive Public Self-Storage Facility

The Issue

This Written Protest is being submitted pursuant to the Village of Gurnee Zoning Ordinance Article 16-6 et. seq. and is intended to formally object to the proposed zoning changes and subsequent construction necessary for the consolidation of the below referenced properties and for construction of a mixed use commercial/self-storage facility(ies) for the property located at 16530 W. Washington St and 34644 N. Cemetery Rd. The undersigned agree that the request by the Sachs is inappropriate and the proximity of the proposed development is unreasonable, specifically as related to the nearby residential properties. For the sake of clarity, the undersigned object to the approval of the application of the Sachs, such application being more particularly set forth in that certain Letter to Property Owners sent on July 30, 2021, by Clara Gable, Associate Planner, Village of Gurnee. The undersigned, by way of this Written Protest, hereby request the Board require a 2/3 approval for the request to proceed and ultimately reject the aforementioned requested approval with prejudice and deny any and all current and future requests for special use permits, Planned Unit Development, zoning changes or similar actions made by or on behalf of the Sachs for this or any similar purpose at this location.
