A few months back, around the time of Christmas, I organised a small fund raising campaign where I raised a whopping 10, 000 rupees in order to provide underprivileged girls with reusable, environment friendly and hygienic sanitary napkins. The napkins are finally here and very soon they will be in the hands of those first 50 lucky girls in a government school that I am currently working with. These user- friendly napkins that come three in a pack. Each napkin is three layered to soak in all the fluid without any kind of leakage. They are made of soft material and hence comfortable as well as long lasting for up to three years. Being vibrantly coloured, girls are actually encouraged to use them. They are inexpensive and being bio- degradable, earth friendly too.
