During the course of the recent protest against the killing of George Floyd, a mounted police woman, bravely trying to uphold law and order and prevent further damage to buildings and monuments, was knocked from her horse and suffered serious injuries (a collapsed lung and a broken collar bone). Guardian journalist Hannah Jane Parkinson, posted mocking tweets that were both insensitive and grosslyoffensive. Her insincere apology was rambling and inadequate. Her contract with The Guardian should thus be terminated.
