WHEREAS towing companies across Ontario clean up the provincial and municipal roadways of Ontario and have no guarantee of payment for this service.

We the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows:

We, the tow operators of Ontario, need to be guaranteed payment when we respond to accident scenes as directed by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and municipal police services. We need the Legislative Assembly to resolve the issue of the inappropriate use of Section 24 in the court system by the insurance industry as a means to threaten, harass and bully towing companies into agreeing to their payment terms.  
We need to be guaranteed payment for abandoned vehicles. 
We lobby the Legislative Assembly to intervene with the Insurance Industry making it mandatory for all Ontario drivers to obtain coverage  that covers the costs for towing, recovery, clean up and storage of vehicles involved in accidents and police initiated tows.
