Petition Closed

On January 14th, 13 American citizens set out to Washington D.C. to express their First Amendment Right of Freedom of Speech. They were coming from San Diego and chose Greyhound to take them there.

Instead, Donald Ainsworth, a Greyhound driver who is against the Occupy movement, locked those people in the bus and called the police to have them removed.

These people paid their fare and caused no trouble on the bus. Even though drivers are allowed to remove people from their buses for "any reason," a driver should not be able to kick paying customers from his bus simply because he does not agree with their political beliefs.

If Greyhound supports his action, they are as guilty as he is of trying to prevent American citizens from expressing their Constitutional Rights. We demand that this driver be fired and that Greyhound release a public apology to its paying customers.
