Give Autistic People Under Parental Guardianship More Opportunities

The Issue

On Friday, 4, 2020 I wrote to the governor of my state Michigan, a letter regarding that more should be done to hold the Du Vos family accountable for the spread of misinformation and to hold Donald Trump and Joe Biden accountable for the abuse and harassment of young women. Instead of getting my voice heard all I got was a website asking me for money; how can I donate money if I as a person under guardianship with Aspbergers cannot earn money because of a Michigan law that says I as an intelligent, creative, and talented writer, artist, and tuba player cannot earn money like most people because I live with supportive parents? And in order to earn social security and money, I would have to abandon my parents and live somewhere else on my own?

In a state where our main foundation is to support people with Autism and give them jobs that they will enjoy with all the securities; why is this law still in the books? On sites like Medium and Patreon, Pay Pal, and Stripe they ask for my social security number, a number that I do not have because of this law that makes it impossible for me to earn money via my writings or my comic Struwwelkinder.

All I want is to earn money from my work without having to abandon my parents who care for me so much despite hardship and divorce. Enough money so I can go to college when Covid is over. For my state to support policies like Medicare for All instead of being a stage for bipartisan political theater and terrorism. My mother pays more money for my meds than for groceries; while Nancy Paloci eats all the ice cream she has in a fridge that we cannot afford, we suffer because of political theater on both political spectrums. Please Governor Witmer, if there is anything you must do, it's to act on your deeds and not your words and keep your promises rather than break them for the benefit of others.
