Demand Adequate Pain Care as a Human Right for Kentuckians

The Issue

We at Kentucky Pain Care Action Network are working tirelessly to amend House Bill 1/217, otherwise known as "The Pill Mill Bill," so that legitimate pain patients do not continue to suffer endlessly. Please add your signature to our petition to regain our human right to adequate pain treatment!

Chronic pain affects more people than are affected by heart disease, diabetes, and cancer COMBINED! We would NEVER as a society allow FBI, DEA, or ANY government agency prevent our citizens' right to care for those illnesses...why do we accept the denial of basic pain care to legitimate pain suffering Kentucky citizens. Suicides are exponentially increasing. Heroin use is up 700% in our state, SINCE the implementation of the "Pill Mill Bill." THIS MUST BE STOPPED. Give doctors back their rightful position in deciding what is best for our healthcare in regard to pain.

As citizens of Kentucky and of the United States of America, and as human beings living in a civilized society, it is our HUMAN RIGHT to be provided with adequate pain care. As citizens of the United States and the commonwealth of Kentucky it is our RIGHT to expect optimum care (as laid out in the detailed outline to be submitted to your organizations). As affirmation of public support of this amendment to Kentucky House Bill 1/217, “The Pill Mill Bill,” we have collected the signatures of these citizens of the commonwealth of Kentucky.
