Me and my family moved to a new neighborhood community called heartland. And my daughter goes to a school  called Crandall high school. And her experience at Crandall high school this year as freshman wasn’t as happy as a normal high schooler. At her first day of attending Crandall, there was a shooting threat made on the same day she went to school. She was very worried and the administrators said that they had it in control. But they never told us what happened and what was going on. So I’m very concerned about my daughters safety at that school everyday. I’ve also read the reviews and they are very bad but there are some old reviews that are good. They only have a 2.9 Star review on google which is something that I think the state should check. My daughter has also complained about the odor problems at her school. She says the bathrooms always smell like “the sewers” and the 2nd floor smells like cannabis. She also complained to me that some students vape on the bus, and that the bus driver is completely fine with it. The bus driver told the students that they can vape/smoke on the bus “as long as they don’t get caught” so I’m really concerned about that as well. My daughter also said to me that there are boys at her school throwing around the “N” word. And the boys that say it are not even black which is very offensive. There is also a lot of stealing going on there as well. My daughter has gotten 2 of her gym shorts/sweats stolen too. As a parent I’m very concerned about my daughters learning atmosphere while she is getting her education at that school.  Crandall clearly has maintenance issues and substandard education. I have went to the school myself to check it out as well and I was not very happy about some of the undisciplined students there. I saw a lot of students bullying and punching and the administrators just told them to stop when they should’ve done more. I’ve also asked my daughter if they have done storm/disaster drills and she said that they haven’t ever since they have gotten there. I’ve also seen a lot of racism going on and that there’s very little diversity here. So I’m  really worried for my daughters safety and learning atmosphere at Crandall high school and I believe that you should know about this horrible place and take action into your own hands and at least shut it down.
