Remove Confederate Statue in Georgetown TX

Created June 8, 2020

The Issue

Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Georgetown, Texas is an eyesore in the center of a beautiful downtown square where lots of events are held and lots of families go to walk around.

For families of color this memorial only reminds them there are still people in the country that wish people of color were never free.

It doesn't make sense to keep a monument to an enemy you've defeated.

Help support the black lives matter movement by signing this petition telling your government there is no place for signs of oppression in this country. If this monument is anywhere, it should be in a museum.

Please share to anyone who might sign so we can get this monument torn down.
