In December of 1988, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued an outright ban of Lawn Darts in the United States. This made it illegal to sell Lawn Darts in every state and killed the most fun backyard game ever created. It has now been 33 years and the government still believes that they should be able to tell us what games we can, and cannot play. You can legally go to the store and buy knives, axes, javelins, etc. It's outrageous to believe a game that has had a few injuries is more of a risk than the previously stated items. I am proposing that the government legalize lawn darts and allow them to be sold in the United States again... or at least Texas. If this game poses such a serious risk then it should only be marketed towards adults and require the purchaser to be at least 18 years old. Of all the things the government already has control of us over we should at least have the freedom to purchase a fun backyard summer game.
