Advocating for an immediate change to the current speech language pathology license regulations to allow speech language pathology assistants and interns to be able to provide teletherapy during this national crisis.  SLPAs and interns are very competent and should be allowed to provide services to children and adults who are in need of the services immediately.  During this time we all need some consistency, especially our patients and the services they receive. It's also limiting the SLPAs and interns from doing their jobs and collecting their income. SLPAs and interns are competent, well educated, and professional individuals that can be trusted with teletherapy.
Please change these regulations as soon as possible!!!  The children and adults in Texas need this!!!!
