1994- Empree Hemphill was 16 yo African American male who committed aggravated robbery with several others.  He was the only was who received a LIFE sentence. This was his first offense & he was a juvenile. He was pressured into doing something stupid.  He has paid his debt to society and then some.  He was a kid who was unfairly sentenced.  That needs to be made right.  Had he been priviliged, his life wouldn't have been taken away like this. Help me fight for his release. We need to eradicate the racial disparity that pervades the U.S. criminal justice system, and for African Americans in particular.
