As a college student, I often feel overwhelmed by the constant load of school work received in the fall. During the fall we have Labor Day off and Thanksgiving, which for me at UT is only Thursday and Friday off. Labor Day occurs at the very beginning of September and Thanksgiving occurs at the very end of November. As a student, I feel it would be beneficial to students and teachers alike for a fall break, similar to a spring break, to occur sometime in October. It could even just be a Friday and Monday off, giving us a four day weekend. This time could allow us to catch up on work or take a break from the constant work. It could be a major stress reliever and a motivator to finish the semester strong. Either way, I feel as though it could affect everyone involved positively.
