New Youth Flag Football League and Experience

On behalf of the citizens of Greenwich, CT., we would like to submit the following petition: It is time for a new and better youth flag football experience for the kids and parents of Greenwich.

For the past several years, the existing Greenwich Flag Football League has been a bad experience on and off the field for both participants and their families.  The GFFL has done very well financially over the years as it has expanded much wider than the Greenwich community without expanding its support system within to provide a good experience. 

We believe that the Greenwich Community deserves better.

Our organization, Next Generation Performance would like to propose a much better league and experience for the Greenwich community.  NGP was formed by local former GHS football standout Austin Longi, sports industry veteran and leader Merrill Squires, and GHS football Alumni Anthony Busani. NGP currently runs youth sports training in Greenwich with a focus and helping develop young athletes (male and female) enhance their athletic skills and enjoy their sports experiences.

NGP has proactively sought a meaningful partner in the flag football space that exhibits our principles and focus for youth sports. After meeting with many organizations, we have chosen Football N America and former Hall of Fame Quarterback Drew Brees as our partner. The FNA program is second to none for delivering a quality product and experience to participant and families. FNA and Drew Bree’s also share the principles and values we are seeking as our partner for the Greenwich Community.

NGP will merge enhanced youth sports training with a world-class flag football experience to help change the current landscape of Greenwich football.  In this capacity, NGP will also get Greenwich High School football involved in the league.

GFFL currently has a monopoly on Greenwich fields for their spring and fall flag football leagues and tournaments.  

We are asking the Town of Greenwich to provide NGP with town fields for the Spring of 2023 to launch FNA in Greenwich.
