Hello again.
A few days ago we emailed to invite you to the Tuesday 6th planning meeting at Woolwich Town Hall regarding the Charlton skate park proposal. I suggested you be prepared to say a few words. IF you were thinking of doing that - which would be FAB - then you need to let the council know. You can't just turn up and speak. Sorry, didn't know that, hence this update.
I've attached the letter outlining the general guidelines, hopefully it's readable, but key things are:
- to be allowed to speak you need to let council officer Daniel Wilkinson know. You can contact Daniel by email (daniel.wilkinson@royalgreenwich.gov.uk) or phone (020 8921 5134). Alternatively you can send your name(s) to me (paul@redhotbelgian.com) and we'll submit them in one go
- the names of people allowed to speak are read out at the beginning of the meeting. It looks like they take a register so if you are not there when your name is read out they will assume you are not coming. So if you get there late, pass a note to Daniel letting him now you are in the room
- As an individual you will get up to 2 minutes to speak
- Be polite
That's it. Again. Bit longer than anticipated. After a long wait for this meeting it all seems a bit hectic now, but fingers crossed the proposal is approved and the skate park can get that bit closer to reality.
Have a great weekend. Any questions, drop me an email.
Paul (and Andy)
