A M started this petition to GREENVILLE COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT

On June 8th, 2020, Black Lives Matter protestors gathered outside Tanner's Big Orange in Greenville, SC, to peacefully protest racial slurs and hate speech posted online by the owner of the establishment. Charles McKissick, a 61-year-old man from Greenville, red-faced from rage and screaming at protestors, drove his SUV through the crowd and did not stop, in an attempt to disrupt the protest and cause physical harm to peaceful protestors.

The Greenville County Police Department's first excuse for neglecting prosecution was that they "couldn't gather enough information about him" in order to find him, and then after hundreds of Greenville citizens identified him via social media, they declined to press charges on the grounds of "lack of evidence" even though there is video footage of the incident that has been widely circulated.

This is an egregious act of racial injustice and failure on the part of law enforcement to do their jobs, and Greenville citizens will not stand for this.

Mr. J.H. Thompson, Greenville County Chief of Police: arrest Charles Mckissick for attempted manslaughter and aggravated assault! Do your job, hold him accountable for his actions and send the message that racially biased hate crimes will not stand in Greenville County any longer!
