We as a class of 2021, from Alain LeRoy Locke, are advocating to have a formal graduation. We as a collective class, find it unjustifiable that we are not able to have our voices heard by admin and the district (Greendot schools). If our voices are heard then the school takes what only a minority of parents and students agree upon, for the rest of us with working parents that are not able to join meetings our voices our lost.We as a class seen schools locally have senior activities and are going to be able to have a formal graduation with their families in the stands.A lot of us look forward to having a formal graduation and having our families watch us make it. Graduation is much more than some walk on the stage, to some of us is our biggest accomplishment.We struggled greatly with not having any academic help or help from our school during this ruff pandemic. We have been doing our best academically for our last year of high school that is supposed to be the greatest. The only true memory we have of our senior year so far is zoom. We would achieve this if our school can get a college where we can walk the stage and have our families follow a social distanced protocol.  For anyone that may be uncomfortable with having a formal graduation can have the option of staying home and having a virtual celebration. We want our voices heard.
