To the Greece Central School District Board of Education and Greece Central School District Superintendent:

WHEREAS “The Board of Education shall, upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, create, abolish, maintain and/or consolidate positions as necessary for the proper and efficient achievement of its goals and in accordance with law.” (Greece CSD Board of Education Policy Manual, 6210)

WHEREAS “District employees, certified and/or classified, may be subject to disciplinary procedures as set forth in the Education Law (certified) and Civil Service Law (classified) and/or applicable contractual provisions.” (Greece CSD Board of Education Policy Manual, 6213.1)

WHEREAS “The warnings and improvement procedures outlined in Section B.2 above are not applicable in any case where the discipline, discharge or termination is sought by the District on grounds of criminal or sexual improprieties by the unit member.” (GTA Contract, p. 19)

WE THE UNDERSIGNED PETITION THE GREECE CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION AND SUPERINTENDENT AS FOLLOWS:

To reinstate Donald Scanzaroli back in the classroom for the entire 2019-2020 school year, and there after until he decides to retire.
