Grant Wisconsin Heights Highschool Students Access to Ms. Klepper's Room
The Issue
We, students from Wisconsin Heights Highschool, share a collective experience. Many of us struggled with finding a trustworthy teacher, a guide who truly understood us, until we encountered Ms. Klepper. The difference she makes in our lives cannot be overstated. She not only teaches but creates a haven for us within the confines of a bustling school. Her room is a safe respite where we can discuss, without judgment, personal issues alongside academic concerns.
Unfortunately, current policy restrictions limit our ability to access this invaluable resource. A recent study by the National Education Policy Center indicates that student support from trusted adults at school can significantly improve student engagement and academic success (NEPC, 2021). Ms. Klepper’s role in our lives aligns perfectly with these findings, hence, we want to advocate for change.
We are not just asking for ourselves, but for future students who will equally benefit from Ms. Klepper's compassionate care and the refuge offered in her room. We ask the administration of Wisconsin Heights Highschool to grant students access to Ms. Klepper's room. Let's endorse a better educational environment where every student has the opportunity to feel supported, positively influencing school life and beyond.
