Grant Terramation, Human Composting, as an option in North Carolina

Grant Terramation, Human Composting, as an option in North Carolina
The Issue
Humans should have the right to dictate what happens to their body after death, with limited regulations pertaining to the environment, health, and community. As death planning is becoming more destigmatized, and we are starting to see individuals take more of a personal approach to their death, it appears that terramation, human composting, is the logical next step in availability. As humans decompose, like any and all other life forms, their body breaks down into elements useful in creating healthy topsoil. No better, no worse than any other composted animal.
However, it is the right of the individual to chose burial, green burial, religious shroud burial, cremation, aquamation, etc.. This goes beyond religious belief and down to how one wants to be memorialized and how they want to have their final interaction in this environmental medium to play out.
This issue is anything but political, and should not even be on the basis of any partisan line.
