PSE (Pidgin Signed English) is used by millions of people but it is not a recognized language and should be. Hard of hearing and late deaf use it, also a large number of deaf do also. It's easier for an English speaking person to use PSE because they already know English. It's already hard enough to go deaf later so to add ASL is not exactly easy or cheap. That's a whole language that would need to be learned. Due to PSE not being a recognized language it causes hate from the asl community but shouldn't. It does not cost anything to make PSE become a recognized language. Thank you.
