We need to plan ahead and secure water sources .We must be proactive and not reactive. Water in the taps is unpredictable just as tanker water delivery.If we drill a  borehole at 31 Trenance Drive,Trenance Park,Verulam, this borehole will provide an essential source of water. However, this land is currently designated as municipal land and is being used as public parking. We are therefore petitioning the eThekwini Municipality to grant us permission to use a portion of this public parking for the drilling and installation of a borehole.

Water scarcity is a pressing issue in our region with over 3 million people lacking access to safe drinking water (Statistics South Africa). A community borehole would not only alleviate this problem but also promote social cohesion as it serves everyone irrespective of their socio-economic status.

We understand that public parking spaces are important, but we believe that access to clean water should be prioritized. We assure that the proposed project will occupy minimal space and won't significantly affect the current use.
