My name is kayley stevenson. I’m a senior at concord highschool. Recently our only asl teacher was fired after 2 years of teaching for not having his credentials. Matt Moyers was the type of teacher to do anything to make sure his students voices were heard and understood to improve there learning and to improve his teaching. Moyers came my junior year of high school and has now been removed during my senior year. During this time many people have claimed they were going to drop out of this asl class now that moyers is gone proving he did have an impact on us. Our new sub isn’t bad but he isn’t moyers, he’s not the teacher we’re used to. Our learning is at stake. We want the our teacher back.we understand he does not meet the teaching requirements but we think it’s unfair that he was removed during the middle of a semester. Taking a teacher out in the middles is a wrong act to do and is unfair on both parts.
