We would like to see a change in our rights where consensual crime convictions do not infringe on the right to protect family and property.

Where qualified felons (with low level felony charges where no victims are involved and no property damage involved) are granted access to legally obtaining and registering firearms for household purposes after 3 gun Safety and firearm competency certifications have been received. 

In most states, lower case level Felony charges are not associated with dangerous or violent acts; many  are victimless crimes. However, the crime is still a felony and has serious potential punishments, including a long jail sentence, heavy fines and strict terms on probation, rights to vote revoked as well as your right to keep and bear arms is unavailable. 

In most cases, a conviction of a lower class D felony will stay on your record permanently. Therefore you will feel the repercussions of the felony conviction for years after your sentence is over. A class D felony conviction can prevent you from renting an apartment, getting a job or obtaining student loans long after you’ve grown past that.
