Grant Joint Custody for India Evette William in Clayton County, GA
The Issue
My name is [Jumahrae Ladonn Morrell], and I'm reaching out to the community and the legal system of Clayton County, GA, to seek justice and the right to be a father to my beloved daughter, India Evette William. Born on March 24, 2025, India was welcomed into this world without her father by her side. Due to a series of unfortunate events and misunderstandings, I was unable to sign her birth certificate, and she was named without any consultation with me, her father. Instead, my daughter's mother chose to give our child her grandmother's name, ignoring my rightful place in India's life.
Despite a petty argument that unfairly escalated, my primary intention has always been to nurture, love, and protect India. Yet, because of this altercation and further tensions between my mother and India’s mother, I was unjustly excluded from experiencing the miracle of her birth. It's heartbreaking that my relationship with India is being compromised for reasons beyond her understanding and mine.
I urge the family court of Clayton County, GA, to recognize my sincere commitment to being a responsible and present father. Every child deserves the love and guidance of both parents, and I am dedicated to fulfilling that role for India. Joint custody will not only ensure that India grows up knowing the love of her father but will also support her in becoming a well-rounded and supported individual.
Please join me in advocating for what is fair and just. By signing this petition, you not only bolster a father’s right to be part of his child's life but also stand for the well-being and best interests of India Evette William. Together, let's make a difference and ensure that India has the opportunity to feel her father's love and presence at every stage of her growing life. Your support is crucial. Please sign this petition to rally behind fairness and the irreplaceable bond of a father and daughter.
