Hello my name is Ian, a concerned veteran has witnessed the struggles of veterans firsthand. These brave men and women who have served our country often struggle to visit family, attend medical appointments or travel to accommodations that cater specifically to their needs due to financial constraints. It is disheartening that those who have risked their lives for our nation's security are left in such predicaments.

Our veterans deserve better. They should be able to move freely within the country they defended without worrying about transportation costs. Therefore, we propose free nationwide train and bus travel for all veterans.

According to a study by the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV), transportation is one of the significant barriers faced by many homeless veterans trying to secure employment or access health care services. By providing free public transport services, we can help alleviate these issues.

We urge our government officials and relevant authorities not only as an act of gratitude but also as a practical measure in addressing some of the challenges faced by our veterans post-service.
