I am Cedric lewis and I am 16 years of age also I live with my brother as of right now. I want to be emancipated from my parent because my mom went to jail and my dad is not around, I feel I can properly take care of myself without adult supervision. I lived by myself for 2 months with no parent in the home, providing myself with electricity, water, and food. The majority of my family moved to Georgia along with my grandma who is my temporary guardian. This is personal to me because I want to better myself and proceed towards success as I move on into the world without someone over my shoulder who makes worse decisions than I do that seriously impact me.

Emancipation would allow me the legal rights of an adult so that I can make decisions for my own welfare and future. Please sign this petition if you believe that granting emancipation will help me achieve a stable and successful life.
