Grant Early Parole to Stanley Kralik in Pennsylvania

The Issue

My name is Stanley Kralik a 27-year-old PA prisoner seeking a clemency. I have served 10 years of my 20 to 40 year sentence for the third degree murder of Corey Samuels. The motive in my case was revenge on Corey Samuels for raping a then 16-year-old girl named Allison Rang.  There was no intention of there to be a murder but a questioning to his actions that turned into a physical altercation resulting in his expiration. My co-defendant Oliver unfortunately was suffering from mental illness. And believed he made lightning bolts fly across the sky, that I was God and that he was a prophet. And based on Oliver's statements I was arrested and my house was searched without a warrant and arrested. The one thing you are guaranteed in American prison cell is a Bible, food water light making it the court, heat, or respite are not guaranteed inside the prison walls. I read the Bible cover to cover, and I saw how wrong I was in my life. And through the guards interactions among each other and mistreatments of others, I saw that the world is full of hurting people that hurt people. I was denied recreation time daily showers or regular human interaction outside the guards. And it was all for the heinous crime of being a child. I had a front row seat to the human condition. I utilize my time to read all the nonfiction books that I could get my hands on. The only breaks in my self-direct education was some visits, and when there was a few commits because I was right in front of the processing unit. I saw people coming in screaming crying and others just hang in their heads and shame. Every so often I saw an atrocity committed. The one that sticks with me the most happened in the middle of the night when I Saw one of the local boro Police of Schuylkill County bring in a disheveled older man that smelled of alcohol and wore an army jacket. The cops tell the guards that they picked them up outside of a veteran club for public drunkenness. They asked them to stay to social security number and he told them he didn't remember. They surrounded him yelling and berating him, and when he still does not remember the yell at him that he is resisting in their opinion. So they Begin slamming him off the ground and punching a kneeing on them. After his screeams to get off of him, they asked him again. This man, that they thought was withholding, doesn't crack and the police pulled their OC spray and sprayed him. The blood dripping off of his face. He screams and begins trying to wipe off the OC from himself, but all it does is smear the blood around. Seeing the carnage they step away to regroup and plan, and the one officer locked eyes with me. I shake my head and he looks down at the other officer to see. That I just watch them brutalize an elderly veteran. They decide to go somewhere else out of earshot, and then they asked if I'm going to be any trouble to them, the guard said that I would not. And I laid in my bunk feeling perilous because I could not help that man. I am seeking clemency to go to college and then law school because I want to help people, and stand for what is right. No amount of introspection or personal growth can convict anyone, all that can be done is service. I'm asking that if I be allowed to, for society, instead of more state prison. If I'm granted commutation I would still be under the supervision of parole, just as I would be as if I wait for the expiration of my minimum. The difference is here a lot of programming isn't run the way to DOC says it is and that is a fact. I completed all the phases of the adult program, but the elements such as journaling and cognitive behavior therapy that they claim are part of the program are just not being done. If I'm not going to receive actual programming, then let me get help outside the prison walls. On the outside I would actually receive mental health services, education. An opportunity to repay my debts to society. Right now because I have programming done. I'm not saying I deserve commutation because of my experiences are environment, I'm not saying I deserve any less than what I received, but rather I'm stating that the facts and asking for mercy in spite of it all would change my future. Would you please sign my petition to show that you believe in second chances thank you for your support and signature.

Sincerely

 Stanley Edward Kralik
