As a deeply concerned citizen, I am relentlessly seeking justice for my best friend, who is serving 47 years for a crime that typically warrants only six months. The driving force behind this petition is to urge the President of the United States to give clemency to 'ghost dope' defendants.

The term 'ghost dope' refers to drugs that the prosecution believes existed but were never seized by the law enforcement or witnessed by anyone other than the cooperating witness. Based on this spurious evidence, my best friend, like countless other 'ghost dope' defendants, is serving a horrendously disproportionate sentence.
