Mental health is a problem that is not often discussed, but affects many people. This issue is especially prominent in students in high school and college, where many students struggling with outside stressors end up being overwhelmed and incapable of focusing. Many students aren't taught to express their stressors, and it results in poor mental health for many students.

If there is no change to address the mental health issues that students suffer from, there will continue to be a gradual decline in student performance. There will also be many more students suffering from depression, extreme anxiety, and possible suicide consideration. Many of these issues can be prevented with this petition.

The time for change is now, because by working to provide opportunities to minimize mental health issues, we can help a large number of students. The overall importance of ensuring positive mental health cannot be understated, and if we act fast students will be able to recover faster.
