Safer Banyo Rail Crossing and better flowing roads

Banyo Rail Crossing is not safe. The roads that lead into the crossing are confusing with multiple giveaway signs causing uncertainty and confusion, near misses and a major accident in 2012 involving a train collision with a truck. Increased traffic flows from higher density development and a new shopping precinct is a recipe for disaster.
Banyo and Nudgee residents deserve better. The solution involves a co-operation from council and state government to provide a better traffic intersection at this rail crossing. State member Leanne Linard and Brisbane Councillor Adam Allen, can provide the political leadership to drive this forward and Lord Mayor Graham Quirk and Premier Anastasia Palaszczuk can make it happen.
