Change the release date of The LEGO Batman Movie in Australia
The Australian opening of The LEGO Batman movie is currently scheduled for March 30th 2017. This is almost two months after the US opening on February 10th.
Making Australian fans wait for the film will lead to it being pirated extensively, just like The LEGO Movie was.
The delay will also spoil the experience for Australians as information about the movie (including the ending) will undoubtedly be shared online.
Changing the release date to match the US release means that Australians will be able to enjoy the film at the same time as the rest of the world and will be less likely to pirate.

On September 9th 2014 you told the Online Copyright Infringement Forum that holding the LEGO Movie back 54 days was a mistake. The decision was described as a disaster that cost your company millions of dollars.
Please do not make the same mistake again with The LEGO Batman Movie. Stay true to your pledge to release films on the same day as the US.
We are excited for this film and want to see it as soon as possible.
Moving the release date will not only help fans avoid spoilers and enjoy the film sooner it will also cut down on piracy.
If the delay of The LEGO Movie cost millions of dollars, that is money that was taken away from local cinemas and great Australian companies like Animal Logic.
You are a vocal opponent of online piracy and passionate supporter of the Australian film industry. The action of moving the release date to align with the US accomplishes both of these goals.
